Penal Rate Provision for Premature Withdrawals of FCNR Deposits

Penal rate of 1% will be applicable to premature withdrawal of deposites for all maturities,for all deposits taken before 25/11/2002. Penal rate of 0.5% will be applicable to premature withdrawal of deposites for all maturities,for all new deposits & deposits renewed on and after 25/11/2002. Differential rates will not be applicable for prematured withdrawal. No interest will be paid on withdrawals before completion of 1 year.

Penal rate of 1% will be charged on premature withdrawal of deposites of all maturities for Rs. 15 Lakh & above. No penal rate will be applicable for premature withdrawal of deposits below Rs. 15 Lakhs . No interest will be paid on withdrawals before completion of 1 year.
